Privacy Policy

About this policy
Informed Pursuit provides RFP and pursuit consulting services. This policy explains how we handle information from website visitors, business inquiries and client work. Client engagements may have separate written confidentiality and data-handling terms. For privacy questions, use our Contact page without including sensitive information.
Information collected
When you contact us, we receive the details you provide, such as your name, email address, company, role, business needs and inquiry message. Service inquiry forms may request information about your pursuit, timing, workflow and goals. Please share only information needed to discuss fit. During an engagement, we may receive business documents and other materials you are authorized to share. Squarespace and Google Analytics process technical and usage information, such as browser and device details, pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location and cookie identifiers.
How information is used
We use inquiry information to respond, understand your needs, evaluate service fit and discuss potential work. We use engagement materials to deliver agreed services and website information to operate, protect and improve the site and understand its use. Submitting an inquiry does not itself authorize an engagement or confidential-document processing.
Service providers and sharing
Squarespace hosts this website and processes form submissions. Inquiry notifications are delivered by email to the configured recipient. We use Google Workspace for business email and Google Drive and Docs for document storage and collaboration, including client materials where appropriate for an agreed engagement. Google Analytics helps us understand website use. Google reCAPTCHA helps prevent spam on the Contact form. These providers process information in connection with their services, subject to applicable terms and settings. We may also disclose information when legally required or needed to protect legal rights. Confirm the providers and handling arrangements for confidential client materials with us before sharing them.
Confidential pursuit information
Initial inquiries are for discussing fit. Do not submit confidential client information, sensitive personal data, credentials or restricted documents through website forms or booking notes. Public inquiry forms do not provide a confidential document-sharing portal. If documents are needed, first confirm scope, your authority to share them, confidentiality terms and an agreed sharing method with Informed Pursuit. Document access and handling requirements must be agreed before materials are exchanged. Ask questions before sending materials.
AI-assisted work and human oversight
An agreed engagement may include AI-assisted research, analysis, drafting or review. Before confidential materials are used with AI, the parties must confirm permission, permitted information, approved tools and account settings, access and handling requirements. AI output requires human review; business decisions and approvals remain with the responsible people. Provider terms for model training, retention and security vary and must be reviewed for the intended use.
Security and access
No online service can guarantee absolute security. Confidential-document access, storage and sharing controls must be agreed for the engagement before materials are exchanged. Please do not use initial inquiry forms to send materials requiring special security or regulatory protections.
Retention and deletion
Retention of inquiries, correspondence and client materials depends on the purpose of the information, the engagement and applicable recordkeeping obligations. Client-document retention and deletion arrangements must be confirmed before document sharing. Use our Contact page to ask about access, correction or deletion; we will assess the request, verify identity where appropriate and explain applicable limits. Google Analytics is currently configured for event-data retention of 2 months and user-data retention of 14 months, with the user retention period resetting on new activity. These settings do not limit the retention of standard aggregated Analytics reports or set the retention period for emails, inquiries or client documents.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses Squarespace analytics and Google Analytics to understand website use and improve the visitor experience. Necessary technologies support website operation and security. The cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies or manage your preferences. Google Analytics cookies are restricted until you allow Performance and Analytics cookies. Use Cookie Preferences to change your choice. Google signals and user-provided data collection are currently disabled in Google Analytics. Cookie choices govern supported non-essential cookies; declining them does not mean every request to a service provider is blocked. Third-party services may process information under their own privacy practices, including information from other sites or services that use them. Learn how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Marketing communications
An inquiry is used to respond to your request and does not automatically subscribe you to marketing. If we offer optional marketing communications, subscription consent is separate from service inquiries. You may ask us to stop marketing messages, or use the unsubscribe option provided in those messages.
Privacy requests and policy updates
Use our Contact page for privacy questions or requests and include “Privacy request” in your message. Please do not include sensitive documents or identification in the initial request. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information or exercise other privacy choices, subject to exceptions. We will update this page when practices change and revise the effective date. Material changes will be identified on this page, with additional notice when required.
